Mr. Piper and His Cubs by Devon Francis

Small hardcover book about a man and his building of planes.  It’s a nice little book in good condition.  It has a few chips around the edges,  but not bad.  Inside the previous owner has put a marker  line through his/her name, so we have a black streak on the page.  This copy is dated 1973.

The Boer War by Thomas Pakenham

Here’s some information on this book.  Unfortunately,  I didn’t write this myself,  so please excuse the formula of the endpapers.  (hope you understand the lingo!)

Thomas Pakenham has written the first full-scale documentry history of the war to be attempted since 1910.  His narrative is based on first-hand and largely unpublished sources.  He hs combed the original British documents in the Public Record Office and the material in South African archives.  He has traced the private papers of most of the protagonists.  He  found the letters of Sir Redvers Buller – the British Commander-in-chief in 1899………and so it goes on.  It’s the information to wet the whistle.

On Beyond Zebra by Dr. Seuss

Good condition hardcover children’s book by the ever so popular Dr. Seuss.

Now, this books is a collector’s edition, so the price is higher than it normally would be if buying it at half the cover price.  The book is not written in.  The binding is tight, with no dust jacket.

Fun rhyming through the whole book.
