DECEMBER IS HERE! We at fireside books are over crowded
so….for that reason we are having a CHRISTMAS RED DOT
SALE!! There are 2 tables set up outside the store, all books
on those tables are marked with red dots. Fill 1 of our in-store bags, for $15.00. we have had several people in already filling our bags, having a great time in doing so. When we filled one for an example for ourselves, we were able to pack 24 pocketbooks in such said bag. Our first gentleman was able to pack about 30 into the bag. Our second customer was able to pack about 34 – 36 books into her bag. Now there is a good packing job! Come in to see if you can beat that number! Honestly, we do not mind, we find it a fun challenge for our customers. A great deal for the month of December
Leslie just finished the book “The Help “ Now, I saw the movie, which was very good. The book centers around the time black’s were maids in wealthy white people’s homes, era about the 1930?s – 1940?s? Anyone who has read it will know. Anyway, this book revolves around the point of view of the maids. Very well done!
I just finished ””The Book of Negro’s “. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was different than the book by Alex Haley’s “Roots” because that was done as his ancestory past, whereas Lawrence Hill has produced a fictional past with some historical information included within the book. All around still a good book.
We just received new dvd’s cd’s and music in. An estate sale came in, in November, finished processing them, and putting them out on the shelves for your browsing pleasure.
